Green Job Training. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty and Councilmember At-Large Kwame Brown joined the Green Builders Council of DC to unveil the nation’s first green collar job training curriculum for the Washington, DC, area construction industry. The training curriculum will be taught at the Academy of Construction and Design at Cardozo Senior High School in Northwest.
Phelps High School Day Mayor Adrian M. Fenty and Allen Y. Lew, executive director of the Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization dedicated the new Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering High School, the nation’s first public high school for the construction trades.
